World Tuberculosis Day, observed annually on 24 March, raises global awareness about tuberculosis (TB), an infectious disease that remains a major public health concern worldwide. Despite being preventable and curable, TB continues to affect millions of people each year, particularly in low- and middle-income countries.
Pharmacists play a critical role in TB control through patient education, early detection support, medication management, and adherence counseling. As future healthcare professionals, pharmacy students are well-positioned to contribute to community awareness and reduce stigma surrounding the disease.
In alignment with global efforts to end TB, IPSF EMRO aims to utilize digital platforms to raise awareness and promote the role of pharmacy students in TB prevention and care.
