Projects – IPSF EMRO

Projects

  • Public Health Portfolio:

IPSF EMRO is a pharmacy students organisation with the aim to promote improved public health through the provision of information, education, and networking opportunities. In EMRO, ​Public Health ​(PH) defines campaigns that are related to EMRO region needs.

  •   Professional Development Portfolio:

We aim to provide pharmaceutical students with avenues to broaden their knowledge and strengthen their professionalism. ​Professional Development ​​(PD) portfolio hosts diverse activities to reinforce students’ skills and abilities such as :

Pharmacy Profession Awareness Campaign (PPAC):

PPAC aims to engage pharmacy students in their future profession, highlighting relevant issues and updates in pharmacy and healthcare practice.

LIT (Leaders In Training):

The Leaders in Training (LIT) aims to develop a quality, sustainable leadership programme for pharmacy and pharmaceutical science students and recent graduates. The main objective is to equip the future workforce with the leadership and management skills required to fulfill leadership roles in the global health setting, specifically when engaging in policy making. The content of LIT programmes includes themes in leadership and management skills as well as advocacy among a wide range of topics. LIT participants go on as confident leaders, fully equipped with the necessary skills to lead teams effectively locally, nationally, and beyond.

TDC (Trainers Development Camp):

The Trainers Development Camp (TDC) aims to develop a sustainable training program for pharmacy and pharmaceutical science students and recent graduates to enable them to acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct and deliver quality training. Trainers are able to deliver training at IPSF events, such as Leaders in Training (LIT) and workshops held at local events of member organizations, Regional Symposia, and World Congress as well as during external events when invited by partner organizations.

The objective of TDC is to establish a pool of active trainers available in every region, who possess the skills to design and deliver a variety of training topics, with a special focus on the soft skills needed as pharmacy and pharmaceutical science professionals.

  •   Pharmacy Education Portfolio:

Pharmacy Education (PE) portfolio aims to empower pharmacy and pharmaceutical sciences students and recent graduates to use their collective voice to create meaningful impacts on local, regional, and global pharmacy education.

  • Student Exchange Programme (SEP)

Student Exchange Programme (SEP) is IPSF’s largest project, offering professional pharmacy internships. Every year, more than 1000 students around the world are given the opportunity to experience the field of pharmacy in different countries. The member organizations of IPSF organize the exchanges by finding host sites where the students are trained.
